As we announce the opening of the
Grey School of Wizardry Publishing House,
we’re excited to share our initial timeline.

We anticipate releasing our first manuscripts in February of next year, 2026.

These first releases will be companion volumes to some of our Grey School classes,
much like our previous "Dragon Lore" publication.

For example, we’ll be launching a “Wizardry of Today” manuscript, which will serve as a
companion to the Wizardry 100 series of classes. These volumes will include extra notes,
annotations, and essays that enhance the class experience.

Currently, we'll be accepting manuscripts starting this November.
That means if you’re considering submitting your work,
now is the perfect time to start your preparations.

While our first class-related manuscripts will help us fine-tune the publishing process,
we plan to begin publishing external authors’ works by November of next year.

This gives us a bit of lead time to ensure that everything runs smoothly and that we can offer you the best possible support.

The Grey School of Wizardry Publishing House is dedicated to bringing the wisdom of wizardry into the modern era through a diverse array of publications. Our goal is to publish works that span the full spectrum of wizardly interests: from scholarly texts on the esoteric arts to whimsical guides on everyday enchantments. We believe that wizardry is both an ancient and living trade, and our publications reflect that spirit of blending the timeless with the contemporary.

We warmly invite writers from all walks of life to contribute to the Grey School of Wizardry Publishing House. Our focus is on works that educate, illuminate, and inspire discovery. Whether you’re sharing deep esoteric insights or offering practical guides with a wizardly twist, we encourage you to bring your knowledge to a broader audience.

However, we do have a few simple guidelines. We do not publish politically charged content, nor do we publish what one might call “fluff” - works that lack substance or educational value. We are looking for thoughtful, well-crafted pieces that contribute meaningfully to the understanding of wizardry and related fields.

In short, if your work helps others learn and grow, we’d love to hear from you!

Submission and Review Process
Svbmission and Revievv Process

The Grey School of Wizardry Publishing House  follows a thoughtful and structured review process
to ensure that each manuscript receives the attention it deserves. When you submit your work,
it will first be reviewed by our in-house publisher who is a member of our staff
that will carefully read through each submission. Manuscripts that stand out for their insight, originality,
and/or educational value will then be passed along to the Headmaster and the Master of Studies for further review.

If the manuscript meets their approval, it will return to the publisher for any final touch-ups, edits, and preparations.
Once all is polished and ready, we will publish the book under the School’s imprint on Amazon.

Promotion and Royalties
Promotion and Royalties

For the first year after publication, we will actively promote your book across our social media channels, newsletters,
our in-house magazine, and other platforms. You can expect a minimum of one promotional post per month for the first year.
After that initial year, we will still feature the book as appropriate,
but the guaranteed monthly promotion period will be for those first 12 months.

In terms of royalties, for the first year of sales, authors will receive a 50/50 split of the profits. After that,
the split will adjust to 25% to the author and 75% to the School.

This structure ensures that authors benefit from the initial excitement of a new release,
while the School sustains the work in the long term.

Expected Review Timeline
Expected Revievv Timeline

We understand that waiting for feedback on a manuscript can be a little nerve-wracking,
so we aim to be as transparent as possible about our review timeline. Typically,
authors can expect an initial review to take approximately four to six weeks.
This allows our in-house publisher to give each submission the careful attention it deserves.

For works that move forward to the next stage of review with the Headmaster and Master of Studies,
please anticipate an additional few weeks. Altogether, from submission to final decision,
the process generally takes around two to three months.

We appreciate your patience, and we’ll keep you updated at each step along the way.

Of course, this timeline may vary based on the number of submissions we receive and the complexity of the work,
but we believe this gives a realistic expectation.
