"This is the part of the year where the School really gets to breathe together,” Headmaster Kingsley said when asked about this year’s gathering. “Online study gives us reach and flexibility, and that is of course a wonderful thing! But Conclave, it gives us... lets call it texture. It reminds us that wizardry isn’t just something you think about. It’s something you do, and something you practice alongside other people.”

Though Randolph’s name is not etched into marble as often as some of his contemporaries, his influence lingers in something quieter and perhaps more difficult to sustain: the expectation that deliberative bodies must function even when disagreement runs high.

I am pleased to formally announce the launch of the GSW Publishing House!

Beyond the Publishing House, GSW is keen to take a step into the world of field research and exploration as well. While I don’t have too many details to share just yet, as we’re still in the process of setting things up, I can say that we are making plans for a 2027 trip to the UK and looking at the possibility of setting aside a small amount to begin the development of an “Expeditionary Fund.”

Our Giving Tuesday fundraiser was a tremendous help in carrying this work forward, and I am delighted to share that we are now only about six hundred dollars away from meeting our fundraising goal for the year. This last stretch represents the final push that helps carry these accomplishments into the new year with strength and momentum, ensuring that the work we have begun can continue with stability and confidence.

After a great deal of reflection, conversation, and careful consideration, I would like to share an upcoming change to the graduation requirements at The Grey School of Wizardry. This is not a decision reached in haste, nor one driven by a single concern. It has emerged from ongoing discussion with the School's Administration and with members of our Board of Directors, from listening closely to the community, and from returning again and again to a simple question...

The present work seeks to develop a proto mathematical framework for this Resonance Model. It does not attempt to deliver a finished physical theory. Rather, it introduces a set of definitions and relations that treat magickal workings as complex resonant systems, physically real in principle, built from correspondences whose combined profiles are taken to influence quantum probabilities.

When someone takes responsibility for one of these rooms, they are making a quiet commitment. Not to ownership, but to remain part of the daily life of the School. To keep a proverbial lamp lit as itwere, to show up, to contribute to the steady rhythm of this campus. That is a small thing, perhaps to the uninitiated, but to the wise we know: small things done consistently make big things.”
