Why is Tution so Low?

At first glance, our tuition may seem unusually modest for a school. Some might even wonder if it means the Grey School is not a “real” institution of learning.
 

The truth is that our prices reflect our mission, not our quality. Education should not be limited to those who can afford steep fees. By keeping tuition accessible, we open the door to all who feel the call to study, regardless of background or means.

The Grey School is a fully chartered institution with a deep curriculum, experienced faculty, and a vibrant community. Our affordability is made possible through shared responsibility: fundraisers, word of mouth, and the dedication of those who believe in the work.

  • Apprentice (18+)

    Every month
    The Apprenticeship Program is a text-based self-paced course of study for adults offered entirely online. Apprentices advance through seven levels by completing lessons across a chosen Major & Minor.
     
    • Learn the core skills and principles of modern wizardry.
    • Join one of four academic lodges for support and community.
    • Enroll in up to six courses at a time for focused study.
    • Pursue leadership roles within your academic lodge.
    • Attend live lectures in vGSW and online platforms.
    • Qualify for select in-person academic classes.
    • Access apprentice-level courses and exclusive content.
    • Partake in the University's Official Discord, and Forums.
    • Graduate with official Journeyman Certification from GSW.

  • Magister Program 18+

    50$
    Every month
    The Magister Program is an online self paced enrollment option for adults who want full access to GSW's text based courses. Magisters explore courses of personal interest without degree requirements.
     
    • Join an academic lodge for community engagement.
    • Access over 500 online courses for flexible study.
    • Attend virtual lectures and academic events in vGSW.
    • Enroll in unlimited courses at your own pace.
    • Qualify for select in-person classes.
    • Progress without restrictions on course levels.
    • Pursue topics that match your intellectual interests.
    • Partake in the University's Official Discord, and Forums!
