vGSW Update: Sears Station
By Headmaster Kingsley
Well met Wizards one and all,
I hope that the day finds everyone in good health and high spirits!
I am pleased to announce the creation of a new small station on the vGSW grounds. This space enables easier transit to the scenario space and is slightly closer to Kayser Hall for ease of access. This new Station will be named "Sears Station" in honor of a member of our Board whose generosity and steady support have done a great deal for the Grey School of Wizardry.

Over time, gifts of service can become easy to speak of in broad terms, especially when the work itself happens behind the scenes. Web development is one of those labors that tends to disappear into the smooth functioning of the institution. Pages load, systems work, information remains available, and the school is better able to present itself to the wider world. We move through it without much thought, which in its own way is a mark of how well it’s being done. More often than not, we only notice these systems when something breaks. A page fails to load, a function doesn’t behave as expected, or a small issue interrupts the flow of things, and suddenly the work becomes visible again. What can be easy to miss is the steady hand that steps in each time to put it right.
In our case, that hand has consistently been Mr. Sears.
Alongside everything else he has contributed, he is the one who reads through the school’s bug thread, tracks down each issue, and sees it through to resolution. It’s careful, often methodical work, and it keeps the school running in a way that allows the rest of us to focus on our own roles without interruption. None of that happens by accident, and none of it happens without someone choosing, again and again, to take responsibility for the unseen work that must be done to keep the whole of our great institution moving forward.
In this case, that support has risen to more than an estimated $20,000 in web work given freely to the school! It represents not only a great generosity, but also a trust in what we're building together and a willingness to materially strengthen the work of this University.
I name Sears Station as a lasting mark of that contribution. I’ve long believed that institutions should remember those who help shape them, and that gratitude ought to be made visible where it can. I look forward to seeing Sears Station take its place on the grounds, and I’m pleased that we are able to honor such meaningful support in a way that will endure.
May we all continue to Strive and Become.

May 2026 Astrological Forecast
By Grey Matters Staff
On May 1st, a Full Moon in Scorpio turns over the stones we might have preferred to leave undisturbed. This lunation is not subtle, and it doesn't care about what we would rather stay buried. It acts like a spotlight on what must be released, what must be repaid, and what we owe not only to ourselves but to the people who have quietly held us up. Balance is not an abstract idea here. It is felt in the give and take of real relationships, in the recognition that support is a living exchange.
There is a thrill in the air, a readiness to change course, but it comes with a flicker of unease. With the Moon in tension with Pluto, revelations can feel uncomfortably like an unflattering reflection in the mirror. Suspicion, fear of loss, even a low hum of anxiety may accompany the clarity. Growth rarely arrives without a little friction.
A few days later, on May 6th, Pluto itself appears to shift gears, turning retrograde and casting a long, contemplative shadow. In astrology, Pluto Retrograde is less about external drama and more about internal audit. The urge to control may still be present, but it moves underground. Over the coming months, the ways we interact, influence, and exercise our agency is subject to recalibration.
By May 16th, the atmosphere softens, trading intensity for something steadier and more tactile. The New Moon in Taurus offers a reset that feels almost physical. Money, possessions, comfort, and self worth all come into focus, but not in a superficial sense. The question becomes simple and surprisingly difficult: what actually sustains you?
There is an invitation here to simplify, to strip away what complicates rather than supports. It is also a moment to reconnect with the body and the senses, to remember that fulfillment is an experience as much as it is an idea. This lunation carries a gentle coherence, aligning with Mercury and harmonizing with Jupiter. The result is a clarity that feels usable, even optimistic. Plans make sense. Choices feel grounded in reality. There is a sensation that one's course is steady.
Then, just as the month begins to settle, May closes with a sense of lift. On May 31st, a second Full Moon rises, this time in Sagittarius. If the earlier Scorpio Moon asked us to look inward, this one encourages us to look outward and beyond. It nudges us out of familiar loops and into wider terrain, whether that means new ideas, new places, or simply a broader perspective on the life we are already living.
Expansion is the overall theme, but it comes with a note of caution. Whatever we focus on now has a tendency to grow, so discernment matters. Not every spark deserves to become a blaze. Still, this Full Moon carries a constructive tone, supported by stabilizing ties to Saturn and a deeper undercurrent from Pluto. Ambition, when paired with patience, begins to get traction.
