The Lodge Council Chronicle
Each month, our Lodge Council gathers it voices into this Chronicle as a place to speak to their Lodges, and to the wider School. We encourage you to read their words and should you have any questions, please reach out to your Lodge Prefect.
As always, we begin with a word from the Captain...

A Word from Our Captain
Dear Apprentices and Faculty,
As the darkness of winter winds down, the days are longer, the air is crisper, and the first signs of light come to the surface; the term is coming to an end.
We’ve succeeded in our classes, learned some things that make us do the wizardly hmmm…hmmm, and we start to wrap up the last merits for the lodge competition. We’ve had exciting Moots, shared our knowledge with our peers, watched vGSW take a new school-forward shape, experienced all that our school has to offer, and made great memories along the way.
During this time, I often take a moment to reflect on the term. What have I learned, both in and out of the classroom? How have I changed? Was there something I need to do more or less of in the next term? How can I be more of a wizard and serve others? Has my practice met or exceeded everything I had hoped for? By doing this, I create a mindset of growth and opportunity for the term ahead. It is in this mindset that I make the charge ahead.
I know this term has brought me everything I asked for and more, and I hope it has for you, too.
Captain Abbie~

Winds Lodge
Hello Winds Lodge Best Lodge!
Prefect James here!
I hope everyone is doing wonderfully and had a lovely February! But time Marches on! Who knows what this next month brings? The fierce battle of Berserker is coming to its final stages- Apprentice Burkey has been a tremendous help in bringing our team to the finals! Anyone who might be interested the grand finale is on the 14th; see how it's played and, if you want in next term, you need only apply and attend! I'd be more than happy to help get you up to speed! Finally, the End of Term moot is coming up as well! It is due to be a great time! This term has been such a ride! This is unfortunately the last time I'll be writing a newsletter entry for you fine folks this term!
But it's not over yet! So, without further ado, thank you for your representation of our lodge over February to Apprentices Burkey, Dustin Kimberlin, Hildebern, Courtney Wise and Sidlar!
Thank you, sincerely!
- Prefect James Perkins

Stones Lodge
Good March, Stones!
It’s an interesting month as the shift to the next term is happening on the 20th!
How do you want to end this term? This would be a great time to contemplate and journal about your goals for the upcoming 2026 Summer Term. Let’s end this term strong by continuing to participate well academically and socially.
Congratulations to the February Champions who have kept their Champion’s Boon active!

This month we have the End of Term Moot along with the final matches of this term’s Berserker Tournament. The Championship will be at the End of Term Moot so make sure you come to cheer players on!
It truly was an honor to be the Stones Prefect this term. I’ve had some grand conversations and gotten to know a couple of you throughout this term and I’m excited to see how you all grow. May your studies treat you well and may you find the extracurricular activities on vGSW and beyond as fruitful as I have. I look forward to working with our next Stones Prefect!
All my best,
Vice-Captain Asher Blackwood

Flames Lodge
Welcome to March, Flames Lodge! Home to the Spring Equinox (20th of March this year), it's a time for reflecting on change as we move from winter to spring. Think about what you'd like to achieve this year, and how the flowers blossoming around you will guide you on!
Competition wise, we are 4th still behind the Winds Lodge - let's try our best with our classes to make up for it, and see if we can beat them! Many thanks to those paying attention to the Commons Counter (the unicorn in the main area of vGSW, for those who don't know) - every little contribution helps, and it only takes a few minutes out of your day.
Berserker wise, a big thank you to everyone who participated this term - just because we're out of the running doesn't mean we can't still attend practices and hone our skills! I hope to see more participation next term - and who knows, maybe we'll end up taking the cup this time around? For the newer Apprentices, Berserker is a super easy game to learn and a big pillar of the School's inter-lodge activities. Why not take a look at the Events Calendar on Discord and attend a practice?
Enjoy March - bright blessings!
Prefect Gabriel Ravenway

Waters Lodge
With the beautiful days arriving and paving the way for Spring, we have reached our usual appointment with our monthly newsletter.
This month we need to take stock, as it marks the conclusion of the term we have spent together. I am very satisfied with what we have accomplished together as Waters Lodge and with the small but meaningful progress made so far. I sincerely hope that you have appreciated my work through the events that have been proposed, and I also hope to see increasing attendance in our Lodge in the months to come.
This month, we also welcome two new members:
Magister Charles T. and Apprentice Caden!
Please remember that on March 14 at 5:00 PM EST there will be the End of Term Moot, and you are all warmly invited to participate. If any other member would like to volunteer and take part with a personal project, there is still time to do so by sending me a DM on Discord.
As always, I take this opportunity to thank you and to give you a final encouragement to complete your current studies in these last days of the term.
Yours in service,
Prefect Marcus Cerri
