Access, Credentials, and Campus Tools
In this section, we cover the armguard, uniform, Hub, access systems, and tools needed for proper Campus participation.

Access, Credentials, and Campus Tools
Participation on the Campus depends upon more than simply arriving in the region. The Campus uses approved credentials and tools to recognize pupils, support communication, confirm access, and connect individuals to the systems that make the University environment function. These tools are practical, not ornamental. They allow the Campus to know who is present, what role they hold, which Lodge they belong to, and whether they meet the requirements for certain spaces or activities.
Pupils should obtain their required Campus tools early and keep them current. Most of these items may be found through Magick Alley or other designated Campus points. Without the proper tools, a pupil may still be able to visit certain areas, but they may not be fully recognized by Campus systems, receive participation credit, access restricted spaces, or take part in activities that depend upon verified identity.
School Armguards
The School armguard is the primary Campus credential. It identifies the wearer within supported Campus systems and allows the Campus to recognize such information as role, Lodge, Campus Standing, and access eligibility. Many Campus objects, gates, activity systems, Lodge features, and participation records depend upon the armguard in order to function properly.
Every pupil on Campus should wear the correct armguard. An armguard that is missing, outdated, incorrectly configured, or assigned to the wrong role may prevent systems from recognizing the wearer correctly. Pupils who believe their armguard is not working should seek Faculty or administrative assistance rather than attempting to bypass the system.
The armguard is not a decoration and should not be treated as a costume piece. It is your University credential within the Campus environment. It does not replace ordinary institutional records, academic progress, grades, enrollment status, or Faculty judgment, but it does allow Campus systems to respond appropriately to the wearer. In this sense, it functions much like an identification card or access credential.
Faculty and Administration may issue, configure, correct, replace, or retire armguards as needed. This may occur when a pupil’s role changes, when a Lodge assignment must be corrected, when an older item is replaced, or when Campus records require administrative adjustment. Pupils are expected to use only the armguard assigned to them and should not attempt to imitate another role, Lodge, rank, or level of access.
The Campus Uniform
The approved Campus uniform helps maintain the visual and academic character of the University environment. Pupils are expected to use approved attire when on Campus.
Uniform variations may be available through Magick Alley or other approved Campus sources. These variations allow pupils to express School or Lodge pride while remaining within the visual standards of the Campus.
Outside attachments, accessories, and alternate uniform pieces are not allowed, save for by exception give nby the Master of Pupils or Headmaster.
The purpose of the uniform is to provide a shared visual language for the institution, helping pupils appear as members of a serious academic community while still allowing suitable Lodge and School identification.
The Hub
The GSW Hub is a required Campus tool that supports ordinary participation and communication within the Campus environment. Pupils should obtain it early from Magick Alley.
Access to Campus Spaces
Access to Campus spaces may depend upon enrollment, role, Lodge, Faculty authorization, event participation, course section enrollment, Campus Standing, or the proper use of required Campus tools. Some areas are open for general use, while others are reserved for particular activities or groups.
A space that appears accessible is not always available for casual use. A hall may be reserved for a course section, an office may be intended for appointments, a Lodge area may be in use for Lodge business, and an event space may be prepared for a scheduled gathering. Pupils should follow posted notices, Faculty direction, event instructions, and the ordinary expectations of the setting.
Restricted access is part of University organization and should not be seen as a personal slight. Certain spaces, systems, and privileges require verified identity or demonstrated readiness because they involve privacy, public representation, technical access, Lodge responsibility, or institutional trust.
Proper Use of Credentials
Campus credentials must be used honestly. Pupils should not attempt to copy, alter, misuse, lend, sell, or misrepresent Campus tools or credentials. They should not attempt to gain access through another person’s armguard, imitate Faculty or Lodge Leadership, use outdated credentials, or interfere with systems designed to verify identity or eligibility.
Misuse of Campus credentials may result in correction of records, removal from a space, restriction of Campus access, retirement of tools, referral to Administration, or other appropriate action. These measures exist to protect the integrity of the Campus and the experience of those using it properly.
The Campus works best when credentials are treated as instruments of academic life rather than obstacles to be avoided. Proper use of the armguard, uniform, Hub, and related tools allows pupils to be recognized by the University environment and to participate fully in the shared life of the Grey School.
