In addition to our online and virtual offerings, GSW occasionally provides in-person classes at our Highspire Campus in Whitehall, NY. These classes typically span 2-3 days and include meals, offering a comprehensive and intensive educational experience. The in-depth nature of these sessions allows for a deeper exploration of the material, complemented by hands-on activities that bring the lessons to life.

Due to the enhanced nature of these classes, they are worth an additional credit compared to their online counterparts, reflecting the richer, more detailed instruction and the practical elements involved. This additional credit acknowledges the value of the hands-on experience and the opportunity to engage directly with instructors and peers in a focused, interactive setting.

Not all physical classes are available online. For example, courses like smithing, first aid training, or archery require in-person participation due to their hands-on nature. These unique offerings allow apprentices to gain practical skills that can’t be fully replicated in a virtual environment.

These in-person classes are also open to the public, providing an opportunity for non-enrolled individuals to experience the unique education offered at Highspire Manor. However, these classes are not included in regular tuition and require a fee of $250 to attend. This cost covers the enhanced learning experience, including the provided meals, and ensures that each apprentice receives the full benefit of this immersive educational opportunity.
