Join the 2025 Halloween Moot

As the leaves turn and the air grows crisp here at Highspire Manor in Whitehall N.Y. we turn our eyes to the school's virtual Campus where we're once again preparing to welcome apprentices, faculty, and guests for one of the most anticipated celebrations of the year, our Halloween Moot! On October 31st, the campus will be alive with conversation, laughter, and a spirit of community as we gather to mark the turning of the year together.

The day begins with our Opening Ceremony at 11 a.m., bringing wizards from every Lodge together to kindle the festive spark and share in words of welcome. As the morning gives way to afternoon, Master Kayser will take the stage at 2 p.m. with her Presentation on Vampires. At 4 p.m., apprentices are invited to take to the roads of vGSW for the annual Bike Race, followed at 7 p.m. by the renowned Berserker Tournament, where quick thinking and clever tactics meet in contest! As twilight deepens, the day concludes with Master Meighen’s Ritual from 9:00 to 9:45 p.m., with breif closing remarks wrapping up the day at 10:00p.m.

The spirit of the day reaches far beyond the scheduled gatherings however. Throughout the campus, each Lodge will host its own attractions, drawing visitors to explore and engage. The avenues of vGSW will be filled with activities like tarot readings, madlibs, trick-or-treat booths, and friendly matches of Wizard’s Duel, alongside countless smaller gatherings and conversations springing up among pupils and guests alike. Whether you come to compete, to study, or simply to enjoy the company of fellow wizards, the Halloween Moot is an invitation to be part of the living rhythm of our School.

The event is open to the public, and all are welcome to visit the campus throughout the day. Many of our apprentices will be on hand to guide new visitors, answer questions, and share stories about life and learning at The Grey School of Wizardry. Those who have not yet walked the virtual grounds will find a campus both lively and welcoming, filled with opportunities to experience wizardry in motion.

So light your lanterns, gather your friends, and step into the virtual autumn air. The season calls us once again to celebration and good fellowship.
