Journeyman Program in Development
By Grey Matters Staff
The Grey School of Wizardry has confirmed that work is actively underway on a Journeyman Program. This new stage of study will serve as the bridge between the structured years of apprenticeship and the independence of mastery, guiding pupils through several years of lived experience before culminating in a certificate of mastery.
Headmaster Nicholas Kingsley described the development as a natural step in the School’s growth and the result of long reflection and careful planning. “We have spoken about the journeyman stage for decades,” he said. “Apprenticeship is complete in itself. It provides a structured education, full and rigorous, with lessons and essays that give our pupils the tools they need. But those tools must eventually be put to use, and not in a classroom exercise. They must be tested in the unpredictable circumstances of real life. The journeyman period is when that happens, and the Program will give it both shape and recognition.” Please click on the following link to learn more: Grey School Journeyman Program in Development!

October 2025 Astrological Forecast
By Grey Matters Staff October begins with a fiery spark. On the 6th, the Full Moon in Aries shines a bright light on the tension between independence and partnership. It asks: how well are we honoring our own needs while remaining attentive to those we love? Expect sudden realizations around self-assertion, leadership, and the ways our bodies and instincts guide us forward. This lunation is all about balance, urging us to walk the line between autonomy and intimacy.
Just a week later, on the 13th, Pluto ends its retrograde that began in early May. This shift turns the slow-burn intensity of recent months outward. The drive to transform, reclaim power, and cut away what no longer serves us becomes stronger. For many, this is a turning point. Instead of brooding over changes thrust upon us, we are ready to seize the reins and make them ourselves.
Mid-month brings fresh beginnings. The New Moon in Libra arrives on the 21st, encouraging us to reset our relationships. Negotiation, harmony, and conflict resolution are the themes of the day. Because this lunation squares Jupiter and Pluto, the temptation will be to overreach or inflate our expectations. The call, however, is for balance and realism. Grand gestures won’t get us there faster, but steady attention will.
On the 22nd, retrograde Neptune slips back into Pisces for its final sojourn in its home sign. It will linger here until January 2026, closing a long chapter of dreams, illusions, and heightened spirituality. Neptune’s retrograde concludes in December, inviting us to integrate the lessons of faith, imagination, and discernment.
The very next day, on the 23rd, Jupiter squares Chiron in the first of three encounters over the coming nine months. This longer-term transit may stir questions of belief and belonging. Old philosophies may no longer fit. Crises of faith, challenges to our ideals, or a sense of isolation can leave us searching for meaning. Yet these trials are also profound teachers, urging us to strengthen our self-belief and refine our purpose.
The best approach in this period is reflection before action. Rather than rushing into new projects or clinging to borrowed philosophies, look within. What truly resonates with your spirit? Which goals still align with who you are becoming? By pausing to reorganize and reassess, we find clarity, and from clarity comes strength.
