Grey School Announces Launch of Its Own Publishing House

The Grey School of Wizardry has announced the creation of its very own Publishing House!

Headmaster Nicholas Kingsley described the move as a natural step forward. “The Grey School Publishing House gives us the opportunity to share the knowledge and insights of our community with a wider world,” he explained. “For years, apprentices, magisters, and faculty alike have produced thoughtful, meaningful work. Now, we have a home dedicated to preserving and publishing it under our own banner.”

The Publishing House will focus on producing a wide range of works: textbooks, essays, anthologies, and select creative writings that illuminate wizardry as an academic discipline in the modern era. Manuscript submissions will be accepted beginning November 1, 2025, with the first volumes scheduled for release in February 2026. These early publications will serve as companion texts to courses already taught at the School.

“If you’ve ever dreamed of sharing your insights, or simply exploring the works of fellow seekers, you’ll find all the information on our new Publishing House page,” Headmaster Kingsley said. “There you can learn about our mission, guidelines for submission, and the pathway for bringing your work to life with the Grey School imprint.”

The Publishing House has set clear expectations for contributors. Manuscripts must be in English and at least 20,000 words in length. The review process is expected to take two to three months, beginning with an initial reading by the School’s in-house publisher before passing to the Headmaster and Master of Studies for further review.

Accepted works will benefit from a year of active promotion by the School across its newsletters, social media, and Grey Matters itself. Authors will receive a 50/50 share of profits during the first year, adjusting to 25% thereafter to sustain ongoing promotion and production.

In closing, Headmaster Kingsley offered this invitation: “We look forward to seeing the wonderful contributions that will emerge from our talented community. This is not only about books; it is about preserving wisdom and advancing wizardry in a way that will endure.”
